Is that the sun rising?

The season is changing, meaning that when you wake up it makes you want to go straight back to sleep, why? It's still dark outside. After reading a thought provoking article, I think they have a point, school should start later or they should give students less homework.

Don't get me wrong, I have no problem with schools wanting to hold their students to higher standards, but when a student is pulling one to two all nighters a week, we have a problem. This has led to a almost 50% increase in cheating amongst high school students alone. I personally believe that this happens because teachers and schools are conditioning students that grades are important and not the actual material.

This and this are helpful links if you want some quick facts about cheating and how it is becoming a big problem in the school system.

What do you guys think?

  1. Students stay up late not because of too much homework. it is because there is too much distraction while doing home work, such as checking messages, facebook and so on. If students can focus well, I grantee they can finish homework by 10pm and have a good sleep every night.
